EICR Certificate: An Electrical Installation Condition Report checks the wiring, sockets, lighting and safety devices in a property against the latest IEE Wiring Regulations. Landlords have a legal duty to renew this every 5 years, or at a change of tenancy, under the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020. We recommend homeowners renew every 10 years.
